Mystical Landscapes is a Marin Design and Build company for all aspects of landscaping.
The wonder of painting and faux works comes down to this: In any design you want to spend the least amount of time and money for the most value and benefit. For example, if you replant a bed of annuals every year for a burst of color and spend $700. on plants each year, that's $7,000 over a ten year period. What's great about paints, stains etc. is that you can create even more color for $50. every 10 years than you can with plants. In terms of sheer impact per dollar, it's hard to find anything more economical or dramatic than painting.
Painting has other benefits. It's low maintenance. It's a colorful at night as it is in the day, with the benefit of landscape lighting. And the colors are just as cheery in January as they are in July.
Areas that lend themselves to painting/staining etc. include:
Outdoor garden art, printed on UV resistant vinyl.
Paint, faux effects, and stencils on walls, tile, concrete, fencing and more.
Dye and other effects added to existing stone or concrete.
Something not many people know:
Existing stone, such as Bluestone and Arizona flagstone, can be successfully died to intensify and/or change color quite easily using a special technique we have researched and developed.
